Case Study Overview

The challenges many pediatricians’ offices face are that patients are constantly aging out, moving, and/or changing healthcare plans along with their parents. There is always a need to re-fill that funnel, creating a steady stream of patients to replace the patients lost due to these changes. In this instance, Pediatrix of Phoenix, Arizona, a local pediatric clinic, decided to invest in campaigns that helped them keep existing patients while adding new clientele.

Retaining an Active Patient Base & Attracting New Patients

Coming out of the COVID public health emergency, health care providers faced new challenges. Pediatrix’s primary goal was to keep existing clients feeling safe, happy, and cared for, while attracting new patients to refill their funnel as patients age out of their clinic’s care. Cox Media partnered with Pediatrix to develop campaigns with both video and display ad elements, all targeted specifically to parents of children ages 0-18 using YouTube pre-roll inventory and incorporating site retargeting elements. Specific campaign messages included flu shot reminders and awareness of the clinic’s availability throughout the back-to-school season, when many children are inevitably exposed to more germs and illnesses.
