Cox Media Arizona Creative Team Wins Two ADDY Awards

TUCSON, March 5, 2024 – The Cox Media Arizona Creative Services team was recognized during the 2024 American Advertising Awards gala, earning two silver ADDYs for outstanding creative in the categories of “Public Service Announcement” and “30 Second TV Spot.”

Led by Creative Serivces Manager Ray Frieders and Senior Spot Production Specialist Trevor Davies, the team earned these distinctions for their original take on bringing awareness to the Tucson Audobon Society (Public Service Announcement), and for their work to showcase Seared Living, a locally owned high-end cooking supply store for foodies and those who love to entertain (30 Second TV Spot).

The annual Gala was held on March 5, 2024 at the Stillwell House, honoring the winners and participants of 2024’s American Advertising Awards.

The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 50,000 entries every year in local competitions. Conducted annually by American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local (Tucson) American Advertising Awards is the first of a three-tiered, national competition. Concurrently, across the country, entrants vie for recognition as the very best in their markets. At the 2nd tier, winners compete against others in one of 15 District competitions. District winners then forward to the 3rd tier, the National competition.

With over 200 categories covering all aspects of advertising, the American Advertising Awards competition is the 1st step toward winning a National ADDY Award.

American Advertising Federation Tucson (AAF Tucson) serves as a collaborative hub for a full spectrum of industry experts. Through professional development, networking, and acknowledging the local hotbed of talent, AAF’s mission is to promote the industry’s importance to the region’s economy and culture.
