SPORTS: NCAA Women’s Basketball [2017-2018]

The 2017-2018 NCAA Women’s Basketball season runs November until April with a host of cable networks covering the action. The current season will provide a host of games airing on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC, FS1, FS2 and CBSSN. The UConn Huskies had a historic run into 2017 with 111 wins. The National Championship game between Mississippi State and South Carolina delivered a 2.4 overnight rating on ESPN, which is 20 percent higher than 2016 and the highest rating for a women’s national championship game since 2014. South Carolina took home the trophy and will look to defend the championship title in 2018. Women’s Basketball continues to attract social chatter with the Championship game logging 1 million total social engagement on ESPN for the game on April 2nd.
